Website
Partnering with Code and Theory, our digital agency, we set out to create a robust and vibrant website that didn't look like any other hospital's. This project spanned across two years of planning, design, development, content gathering and loading, and CMS design. Throughout this project, I assisted in design reviews, feature creation/development and requests, needs gathering from all departments, employee CMS training, gathering and loading of public profile information, and overall content management.
Evolution of Brand through Academy
When I started at RIC, now Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, I was tasked with revamping the presence of the Academy, our internal educational arm. The Academy provides continuing education to physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, doctors, and nurses around the country. The revamping included their website, product images, and printed postcards and catalogs.

Celebrations
Spark! is AbilityLab's first annual fundraiser. For this project I designed the logo and the invitation. This party celebrated the success of the capital campaign raising money for the new hospital.
March 25, 2017 we moved 170 patients from one hospital to the next. Upon their arrival to the new hospital they received a stamp on their "passport" to celebrate that they've arrived in their new home.
AbiltyLab continues to be ranked the #1 rehabilitation hospital in the country by U.S. News and World Report since 1991. I designed landing pages, posters and outdoor banners for these celebrations.

Content Management
The process of content management involves loading client copy, images, and other information from their previous website or documents. Attention to detail and a thorough understanding of a CMS's capabilities and limitations are important during each migration. Understanding the template layout and design restrictions in order to display client content correctly is key.*
120hrs of content migration. This site was a behemoth - We had a team of 5 tackle this project that included both old and new content.
For this client I converted their previous paper documents into online forms to speed up their processes and streamline their customers' experience.
Brand new site with bright graphics and great information for their clients. They used several smartly placed links to bring people deeper into information when appropriate - never a dead end.
Email Stationeries
Based off of client's websites, I designed email stationeries that are being used for email marketing. Each design is then coded using HTML** with inline CSS. These were all designed and coded for use with Emma Email Marketing. **HTML used loosely here as HTML for email is much different than modern HTML used on websites.*
Color Customizations
A large part of my position at Firespring dealt with website template designs. Firespring provides their clients (Non-Profits, Medium/small businesses, and Printing Companies) pre-designed website templates that are adaptable to their organization. Here are a few examples of clients I have customized using CSS to fit their branding.*
Design Quality Assurance
As I stated above, design templates were a large part of my position at Firespring. I played three major roles in the creation of these templates: quality assurance, product adaptability, and ease of use through CMS. In quality assurance, I check out these designs in all internet browsers and all computer configurations to make sure the designs are displaying correctly no matter the customers' technology. Product adaptability is important as these designs can be used for all different organizations, so making sure that logos can fit, content can be re-arranged, and any future alterations are simple for any client. Finally, I made sure these templates are easy to use in the back end for our clients through our proprietary CMS so as to avoid any confusion. Here are a few examples I worked on.*
